Grandes artistas de la talla de Michael Stipe, Mike Miles de REM e Ira Kaplan de Yo la tengo, entre otros, rendirán tributo a la legendaria banda estadounidense Big Star en un concierto el próximo 26 de marzo en el Mason Hall junto a el baterista Jody Stephens, único sobreviviente original del grupo.
El show recreará el formato completo y original de Third, el tercer disco del grupo y los ingleses de The Lost Trees serán los encargados de las piezas orquestales. También participaran del concierto Norman Blake, Cris Smatey, Mitch Easter, Tift Merritt, Wil Rigbym y Matthew Sweet. Aristas como M. Ward, de She & Him, Chris Stamey y Rigby Voluntad, de The dB’s, quienes en un principio iban a formar parte del evento, no podrÃan asistir. Sin embargo, aún no se descarta su presencia.
