Desde Massachusetts, Passion Pit se aferra a los sintetizadores para crear una sinfÃn de buenos sonidos que, sumados a electrizantes beats, algunos arreglos de guitarra y la excelente voz de Michael Angelakos, se postulan uno tras otro como candidatos ideales para la pista de baile. El año pasado editaron a través del sello Frenchkiss su primer trabajo, Manners, que fue considerado por muchos medios especializados como uno de los discos más interesantes del año.
Los inicios de esta banda se remontan al 2007, cuando Angelakos estaba en su proyecto solista que se basaba básicamente en una serie de canciones que habÃa escrito para regalarle en San ValentÃn a la que en ese entonces era su novia. Tocó las canciones en vivo, gustaron y enseguida se le empezaron a unir músicos para terminar de darle forma los temas y sentar asà las bases de Passion Pit. Un año más tarde editaron su primer EP, Chunk of Change, que incluÃa muchas de esas canciones de amor y otras que luego se transformarÃan en piezas esenciales de Manners. Una de estas, Sleepyhead, tuvo un recorrido mediático que la llevó a sonar en series estadounidenses, canales de música y hasta comerciales.
